So we where given the opportunity from a very good friend of ours, Anthony Pakingan, to have our little girl be featured on his website. He is in the process of developing his company and he asked if we would allow him to come to our home and take pictures of little miss, so that he could add them to his portfolio. We gladly accepted his offer and he came down to take some pictures of her. We are going to have him come back and take more when she is about 3 months old.
The photos that he took turned out amazing and are even available for purchase on his website. He is a great photographer and we definitely highly recommend him if you are in the need of a photographer for anything. You can find out more information by going on to his website, which is listed below. Also feel free to go on to his site and check out the photos that he took of our little miss. (They can be found under the PRINTS AND PROOFS section and then click on THE WOODARDS album.
To enter his site...go to the website listed below and then click on the center picture that comes up.

Baby Kallie Pictures
KALLIE BREANNE has arrived!!!!!
Well as many of you already know, our sweet little princess has arrived. I know that this is coming almost an entire month late, but my time has been preoccupied with little miss Kallie Breanne and I haven't had the chance to make a new post. So for those of you who don't know all of the details here they are...along with some photos.
I went into work on 10/3/08 and was having consistent contractions all day long every 30-40 minutes, but didn't think much of it because I had just had my doctor's appointment the day before and was only dilated 3-4 centimeters and he thought that I was going to go past my due date, which was 10/7/08. Well little did we know that little miss had different plans for us.
On Saturday (10/4/08), I along with my coworker took two of the youth from the group home to my little sister Isabel's school fall carnival. Ryan was going to meet us there along with my mom and little sisters. Everything was going normal, until Ryan and my family arrived. As soon as they arrived I walked over to talk to them and as soon as we started to talk my water broke. Which might I tell you that no one ever lets you know that this gush of fluids doesn't just come once, it continues to come out every couple of minutes.
Anyways, so Ryan and I proceed on to the Outer Banks Hospital, since we where right down the road and my doctor wanted us to get there as soon as we could. We got to the hospital around 2pm and got checked in, changed and placed into our room. Once in our room the nurses decided that they would start to administer the Pitocin (however you spell it) to help move the contractions along, since I wasn't really contracting at this time...just continuing to leak fluids every few minutes. (I would like to say something else that they definitely DO NOT share with you before administering the Pitocin...this horrible little drug makes you go from having minimal to no contractions to full on painful contractions in no time at all) After dealing with the pain for a little while, the doctor finally said that I could have the epidural whenever I wanted, which I quickly responded that I wanted it ASAP, he stated well the doctor will be in in a couple of minutes to give me the pain medicine...he then states...well we have to page him first because he lives in Manteo. I was like are you F-ing kidding me, to which my doctor seemed to giggle at and said yes.
The doctor finally gave me the pain meds and after that I felt amazing. They gave me just enough, so that it would start to wear off by the time that I was 8cm dilated. Little did they know that I was going to progress so quickly. At 7pm my doctor came in and checked on my progress and at this time I was 7cm dilated and he thought that I would have her around midnight. Well the nurse came in 30 minutes later and checked me again and she seemed a bit shocked and was like...um I need to go and get the doctor because I think that you are fully dilated and can start to push. Well I was fully dilated and started the pushing process, which was extremely difficult because I was still under the epidural due to me progressing so fast. The nurse was telling me to push and I was like I thought that I was and she was like...no you're not.
Anyways...our little princess was born @ 8:49pm. I was in the hospital for a total of 6 1/2 hours before she finally arrived.
Her stats where the following:
Kallie Breanne Woodard
Born: 10/4/08 (she's a 10/4 baby...which Ryan finds completely hysterical)
Time: 8:49pm
Weight: 7lbs 8.4ozs
Length: 20.5"

Holding her as soon as she came out.

Baby Shower Pictures
Ok....I know that I am slack. It has almost been a month since my SURPRISE Baby Shower (9/13/08) and I am finally getting to posting the photos. It took me a little while to edit them all and decide which ones I wanted to share with everyone. I would like to take the time and thank my wonderful MaMa and friends that helped put this fabulous event together...I know that it was not easy keeping it a secret from me! I am even more surprised that my little sisters didn't tell me. I would also like to thank everyone that came to the party, it definitely meant a lot to us. I also wanted to thank everyone that has sent us a gift for the baby, we have received so many adorable items and certainly feel more prepared than we did before the event. I have just about finished all of the thank you notes and you should be getting yours shortly. Again sorry for the delay in these too, but I don't seem to have as much energy these days...go figure...and we have also been really busy finishing up things at the new house. We just got our refrigerator delivered on 9/29!!!!!
I hope that everyone enjoys that photos. I tried to put a little variety up there and if anyone has any other pictures from the shower, please feel free to email them to me...they would be greatly appreciated!

BABY BUMP PHOTOS
So, I have the absolute sweetest friends in the entire world. A close friend of mine, Eden, volunteered to take some baby bump photos for me, since I am so close to being done w/ this pregnancy. We met up on 9/17/08, 37 weeks pregnant, at the Manteo waterfront to take some photos. I had the best time and I know that I will truly cherish these pictures for the rest of my life! Thanks again Eden for everything!

Baby Kallie Update
So it was a sad moment on 9/11/08 because that was the day that I had my LAST ultrasound! It was so amazing to see how much our little girl has changed since the last photos where taken. While we where at the appointment we found out that at that time she was about 5lbs 12oz and that if we went up to the expected due date that she should be somewhere around 7 1/2lbs. I also have to say that she was not being the most cooperative that morning when we where trying to take her profile photo's...I had to move from side to side a couple of times to get her moving. Here are the pictures that we got this time.
September 11th, 2008 @ 36 Weeks

In this picture you can see the point of her nose and then on the side of her head you can see her ear.

The little round ball that you see is her hand right by her mouth.

Here is a picture of her cute fuzzy little head. The little white specs at the top of the picture next to the round ball is the hair on her head. Thank God she won't be bald like I was....bald till I was two!

The black dot inside the round figure on the right of the picture is one of her eyeballs. The photo is actually a side profile picture of her face.

On September the 3rd, Ryan and I decided to go to the beach and spend a little family time with Halie. My mom and little sisters also decided to join in on the fun. The day could not have been more perfect and we where fortunate enough to have a little shallow pool followed by a sandbar, which made for perfect surfing conditions for Halie and my sisters. Yes you read right, our dog Halie is an avid surfer and has been doing so since she was a couple of months old. I love to see how all of the spectators at the beach are in complete astonishment of this dog that surfs. What can I say, she was meant to be a part of our family! On this particular day, my little sister Isabel, who by the way is 7 1/2...will be 8yrs old in April!!!!, decided to try surfing for the first time and might I say she is quite the natural at it! Genna even gave it a try while we where there. Here are the pictures from the day.

Ryan taking Halie out.

She always takes the first ones a little slow.

Now she's ready!

Taking a little break by the water.

She was getting tired by now.

A day of fun in the sun can sure take a lot out of you!

Izzy's first time on a surfboard!

As with every first try...you have to wipe out.

She did not want to come in!

Genna (4yrs old) even tried it!

Updated House Photo's
Here are the updated photo's of the house after it was mostly done being painted. I will take some newer ones, since we now have our furniture. We just got our new range in yesterday and we are supposed to get our refrigerator in on next monday, 9/22...our 1yr wedding anniversary! Ryan seemed to find this amusing...and the perfect anniversary gift to me, which at this point I would have to agree. You never realize how little the tiny mini-fridges hold until you are trying to hold other things besides alcohol..haha. Any who...here are the pictures as promised in the last blog.
