Our Wedding
So Ryan and I got married on September 22nd, 2007 at the church that I grew up in, by the our former pastor, Brad Bradshaw...who is much more like family than anything else. He is also the man who married my mom and dad, so it was very important to me that he be the person to marry Ryan and I. Our wedding truly turned out beautiful! The ceremony was at the Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church and reception followed it at the Oceanfront Trellis located at the Sea Ranch Hotel. The theme of our reception was "A Tour Of the Outer Banks" and every decoration had some element that tied into the theme. We where fortunate enough to have so many people volunteer to help make our day everything that we wanted and more. Our tables where decorated with hand-cut and painted centerpieces that where in the shapes of various OBX landmarks (all of the lighthouses, the Wright Brother's Monument, and even our table...the East Carolina "PeeDee the Pirate"!!!!!). Our favors where not only the traditional bubbles, but also various flavors of salt water taffy..yum. There where of course some technical difficulties that occured during the day, but fortunately none of our guests would have ever known.
We do want to thank everyone again, that came and where there to help celebrate in our special day and say that whoever couldn't make it...that you where missed. We also wanted to recognize those loved ones (2 family members and 1 very close and dear friend of ours) that where sadly taken from us shortly before our wedding. We know that they where with us in spirit though!
Here are some pictures from the day.

As my mom said...in true beach girl fashion!

Our First Blog
Hey Everyone,
So I decided to do this to appease all of our friends and family that we don't get to see or speak to that often. We do love you all, but the real world is definitely a reality check and has at times kicked us right in the booty. There are times where Ryan and I ask each other what in the world happened? and When did our life get to be so stressful? At times I miss those days where my biggest dilemma was what we where all going to do when we got off from working at George's that evening, but I can honestly say that I wouldn't change my life one bit. I may be really stressed out and feel like I never have any downtime, but I know that everything that is stressing us out now is so worth it in the end. I guess that's what you call growing up and becoming an adult?!
